Even though the setbacks probably kept her from being a 1,000-point scorer, Magner battled back to have one of her best seasons this year, averaging 10.4 points per game, while also coming up with a career-best 48 steals, 47 assists, 21 blocked shots and 68 rebounds, which tied her season high. Magner fought through injuries during her four years with the Bulldogs, yet would not stay off the court for long. With plenty of enthusiasm and courage, she has led a productive life and raised a family of fine athletes with her husband, Pete Balke.
